Local rank tracking

See your real Google Maps rank from every corner of your service area

Google shows a different map pack to a searcher two blocks away. Geo-grid tracking scans 9 points around every location so you see the rank your customers actually see — not one misleading 'average position'.

The problem

Why one 'average rank' lies to you

Google's local pack is hyper-personalized. A searcher across the street sees a different top 3 than one two blocks away. If your rank tracker gives you a single number, it's hiding the neighborhoods where you're invisible — and the ones where you're already winning. Geo-grid rank tracking replaces that lie with a map of exactly where you rank, cell by cell.

Why customers pick this

Outcomes, not just outputs.

01

Stop losing customers you thought you had

Spot the parts of your service area where you're ranked 15+ and quietly losing every call to a competitor half a mile away.

02

Prove ROI to clients with a picture, not a spreadsheet

Nothing sells a retainer like a red-to-green grid showing where you moved a client from position 12 to the map pack.

03

Catch ranking drops in hours, not weeks

Scheduled daily scans surface a slip in any grid cell the moment it happens — so you fix it before it becomes a lost month.

04

Prioritize the campaigns that actually move revenue

SoLV tells you which keyword × neighborhood combos are worth doubling down on, and which are dead weight.

Historical grid replay

Scrub back through weeks of scans and watch your visibility grow — perfect for client reporting.

Multi-location scaling

Roll up grid metrics across 5, 50, or 500 locations in one dashboard. No manual per-location setup.

How it works

Live inside your workspace in minutes.

1

Drop a pin on every location

Enter an address or Google Place ID. SeoNexus auto-detects the business and sets the grid center.

2

Choose keywords and grid size

Add the terms your customers search. Pick a 3×3 for a tight service area or 7×7 for citywide coverage.

3

We scan on schedule

Daily or weekly scans run from real device fingerprints. Results land in your dashboard automatically.

4

Act on the map, not the average

Click any red cell to see who outranks you there, why, and the fix — often a GBP or on-page tweak surfaced by AI.

Frequently asked

Answers before you ask.

What is geo-grid rank tracking?

Geo-grid tracking scans your Google Maps rank from multiple GPS points arranged in a grid around your business location. Instead of one 'average' number, you see the exact position your business shows at each cell — because Google returns a different map pack depending on the searcher's location.

What are AGR, ATGR and SoLV?

AGR (Average Grid Rank) is your average position across cells where you rank in the top 20. ATGR (Average Total Grid Rank) counts cells where you don't rank at all as position 21, so it can't be gamed by only tracking your strong areas. SoLV (Share of Local Voice) is the percentage of grid cells where you appear in the top 3 map pack — the metric that most closely correlates with real map-pack traffic.

How big should my grid be?

For a single-location service business, a 3×3 grid at a 1–2 mile radius covers most customer origin points. For city-wide brands or multi-location, use 5×5 or 7×7 at wider radii. SeoNexus lets you configure grid size and radius per keyword and per location.

How is this different from tracking my rank with one desktop search?

A single search runs from your IP address, which is one point on the map. It tells you what one person sees. Geo-grid runs simulated searches from real GPS coordinates, so you see what customers across your whole service area see — often wildly different from what you personally search from your office.

How often does SeoNexus scan?

Daily by default, with weekly and on-demand options. Every scan is stored and versioned, so you can compare any two days side-by-side or replay the trend as a heatmap animation.
