What is NAP consistency and why does it matter?
NAP stands for Name, Address, Phone. Google's local ranking algorithm rewards businesses whose NAP is identical across the web — it's a trust signal that the business is legitimate. Inconsistency (even a mismatched suite number or a hyphen in a phone number) can suppress your local rank and reduce Google's confidence in your listing.
